Well, spring is coming, we have figured out our financing situation and we are moving forward. We plan on starting excavation in the next 2-3 weeks! We met with our builder to choose some of the exterior colors and such to submit to our HOA for approval before we start the building process. We colored our plans to try and get a feel for what it may look like. The house will have areas of stucco and board and batten siding with brick accents and stained wood posts on the porch. Color of the stucco is Sherwin Williams - Alabaster White We had fun trying to pick a color for our brick. General Shale has a ton of options but you have to double check to make sure the brick you like is manufactured at a plant close to where you live or the shipping costs can be REALLY high. I think they also have stone if that's the look you're going for. We are going with the Cambridge 6060 because we like that its red but that it has variation. We are planning on staining the...
We are building a custom home and I have so many questions going in and I thought that perhaps if I document it along the way it will be a great place to come for memories for us and a potential resource for others in the same boat at some point in the future.
